It depends on the current strength of the components used. Even a 1.5 amps at 12 volts transformer wouldnt be able to support much electrical charge. Try to find a transformer of high intensity. The device will only be removed as a current strength is more than enough to take care not to damage to the device.
NED a converter from 12V to 120 to go. Not sure what to do try, but as much as possible out and portable power!
